The device is designed for measuring energy in heating or cooling circuits. It is certified according to MID for heating applications and meets the requirements of the EN1434 standard. It allows communication via BACnet, Modbus, or MP-Bus and can be powered through PoE. Configuration is done using the Belimo Assistant App or a web server.

The thermal energy meter consists of a quantity measurement section, evaluation electronics, and two temperature sensors. One temperature sensor is integrated into the flow sensor, and the other temperature sensor is installed as an external sensor. The device determines the thermal energy supplied to consumers through the heating circuit or obtained from the heat exchanger using the cooling circuit from the volumetric flow and the temperature difference between the supply and return. It can be installed either on the return or supply piping system.
