The Danfoss brass shut-off and protective cap is an original accessory designed for AB-QM series pressure-independent balancing and control valves. It is used to mechanically secure the valve measuring port when no measuring instrument or differential pressure gauge is connected. At the same time, the cap protects the measuring port against contamination, mechanical damage and unwanted leakage of the medium. Thanks to its brass construction, it offers durability and a long service life even under demanding operating conditions in heating and cooling systems.

The product is compatible with AB-QM valves in nominal diameters DN 15 to DN 32, with a maximum system operating pressure of up to 16 bar (232 psi). It is an unobtrusive yet important component for correct installation and the long-term maintenance of hydraulically balanced systems.
