Download PDFThe E2618‑CO-DM Carbon Monoxide Sensor is part of the PluraSens® product range, which includes multi-purpose instruments for gas detection in building services and industrial environments. The device is designed to monitor carbon monoxide (CO) concentration in ventilation ducts, where it may accumulate due to insufficient ventilation or the presence of combustion processes. Typical applications include underground car parks, boiler rooms, commercial kitchens, or other plant rooms where continuous CO monitoring is required for the safety of people and operations. The unit is equipped with both an analogue output (optional 4–20 mA or 0–10 V) and an RS‑485 digital interface using the standard Modbus RTU communication protocol. These outputs enable easy integration into measurement and control systems, building management systems (BMS) or safety technologies, including emergency ventilation and alarm signalling. The instrument is intended for fixed installation and is designed to meet the requirements of technical and industrial areas in terms of ingress protection, reliability and ease of maintenance.
The device is housed in a wall-mounted enclosure with IP65 protection, ensuring resistance to dust and water. The sensor has no visual or audible alarm and is intended for measuring and transmitting data to a control panel or higher-level system.
The E2618-CO-DM sensor is designed for monitoring carbon monoxide in environments such as boiler rooms, garages, tunnels, industrial halls and other enclosed spaces where CO can accumulate. The instrument helps prevent health risks associated with exposure to this gas and contributes to ensuring the safety of personnel and operations.
Carbon monoxide (CO) is colourless and odourless, making it particularly dangerous because its presence cannot be easily detected without a detector. It is produced by incomplete combustion of fossil fuels, for example in boilers, vehicles, or during burning in enclosed spaces. Even low concentrations of carbon monoxide can cause health problems such as headaches, dizziness or poisoning, and higher levels can be fatal.
Calibration certificateEvery Evikon gas detector package includes a factory calibration certificate. The calibration certificate is in English. Gas concentration measurement is affected by operating temperature and humidity. For this reason, calibration during detector production is carried out with enhanced safety in mind.
