The Danfoss ASV-P DN 40 differential pressure controller (003L7625) with Rp 1½ female thread provides dynamic hydronic balancing of heating and cooling systems with variable flow. Fixed differential pressure setting of 10 kPa (extendable to 20 or 30 kPa by replacing the spring), kVs 10.0 m³/h, PN 16, max. medium temperature 120 °C. The package includes EPP thermal insulation and a 1.5 m impulse tube.

About the product

The Danfoss ASV-P differential pressure controller is a key component for the dynamic hydronic balancing of heating and cooling systems. It ensures permanent stabilisation of the differential pressure in the controlled circuit across the entire load range of 0–100%, even with variable flow. This guarantees even heat distribution, high control valve authority and energy savings.

The ASV-P DN 40 valve (003L7625) is designed for installation on the return pipe of a riser or branch. It operates in tandem with partner valves (ASV-M, ASV-I or ASV-BD) installed on the flow pipe. The fixed differential pressure value is 10 kPa; by replacing the spring, it can be increased to 20 or 30 kPa directly under pressure, without the need to shut down the system.

Main advantages

  • Dynamic balancing – eliminates the need for complex manual balancing during system commissioning and when changes are made to the system.
  • Flow limitation – in combination with an adjustable commissioning valve, it allows the maximum flow rate to be set in each branch.
  • Quiet operation – differential pressure stabilisation prevents pressure build-up across the control valve, thereby reducing valve noise (in accordance with DIN 18380).
  • High valve authority – precise and stable temperature control, especially in systems with thermostatic radiator valves.
  • System zoning – enables the gradual commissioning of pressure-independent zones without subsequent balancing.
  • Compact design – a 90° angle between the operating functions (shut-off, draining, setting, measurement) facilitates access even in confined spaces.
