The ESMU-250 is an immersion temperature sensor from the Danfoss ESM/ESMU series, designed for reliable and accurate temperature measurement directly in pipework or liquid vessels. The sensor uses a platinum resistance element, Pt 1000 (1000 Ω at 0 °C), with a characteristic complying with EN 60751, accuracy class B (maximum deviation ±2 K).
The 250 mm probe is made of copper, the body is made of a brass alloy, and the head is made of special polyamide (PA), ensuring durability in demanding conditions. The two-wire connection allows easy installation and compatibility with other sensors in the same series – all connections are interchangeable.
The sensor is mounted via a G 1/2 A thread (the corresponding seal is included in the delivery). Electrical connection is made via a terminal block in the sensor head with a PG 9 cable gland. IP 54 protection ensures resistance to dust and splashing water.
A fast response time – just 2 seconds in water (7 seconds in air) – ensures an immediate reaction to temperature changes. When used in a thermowell (ESMU pocket, code 087B1191), the time constant is 32 seconds in water.
