The FJVR valve operates as a direct-acting controller – the sensor monitors the temperature of the medium in the return line and, when the set value is exceeded, the valve closes the flow. This prevents excessively hot water from returning to the heat source or manifold. The valve body, in combination with a thermostatic head, can be installed in any position, provided that the correct direction of flow of the heating medium is observed.

The valve is used in the following applications:

• Underfloor heating – control of the medium temperature in the heating loop by limiting the return temperature
• Two-pipe radiator systems – limiting the temperature of the return water before it returns to the heat source
• Ventilation systems – protection of air heaters against freezing by ensuring minimum circulation
• District heating systems – control of the return temperature from hot water storage tanks
