The Danfoss mounting nut (part no. 003L0213) is a specialised accessory designed for the installation and removal of valve inserts in RA and FHV series radiator thermostatic valves. It enables safe and reliable replacement of the valve insert using a size 24 spanner, even without draining the heating system, provided that the moving parts of the insert are not interconnected.

After removing the thermostatic head, the mounting nut is fitted onto the valve body. The valve insert can then be unscrewed using a size 24 spanner, and the valve seat can be cleaned if necessary or the insert replaced with a new one. The tool ensures easy handling during routine maintenance as well as during service work on radiators.
