Danfoss MSV-F2 DN 50 PN 16 is a flanged balancing valve with manual flow presetting. It is used for hydraulic balancing of branches and circuits in closed heating and cooling systems. The valve is supplied as standard with a position indicator and stroke limiter; the setting can be locked to prevent unwanted adjustment.

Where the MSV-F2 is used

The valve is designed for closed heating and cooling systems where the flow needs to be permanently set and fixed on a specific branch, circuit or riser. It is typically installed on each terminal unit, branch or riser during system commissioning. The medium is water or water mixtures with glycol-based antifreeze additives. Flanged connection in accordance with EN 1092-2 makes integration into industrial and process pipework of larger diameters easier.

Flow setting and locking

The flow is preset using a handwheel with a numerical display (plastic version for DN 15–150). The stroke limiter, integrated directly into the handwheel, prevents the set flow from being exceeded. Once set, the position can be locked with an Allen screw. For accurate flow measurement, needle test plugs are included as standard, compatible with the Danfoss PFM 100 / PFM 1000 measuring instrument.
