The nozzle atomises heating oil (diesel, light fuel oil) into very fine droplets, forming a precisely shaped oil mist. In the burner, this is mixed with a precisely metered amount of air and, once ignited by the ignition electrode, ensures optimum, efficient and economical combustion.

The H type (Hollow Cone) produces a spray pattern in which the atomised oil droplets are evenly concentrated around the outer edge of the spray. This pattern is ideal for burners with a hollow air pattern and for low to medium outputs. OD-H series nozzles are identified by red caps.

The nozzle is intended for:

• Domestic and industrial pressure oil burners
• Burners with a hollow air pattern
• Applications requiring precise and stable fuel metering
• Boilers, heat pumps and industrial heaters for heating oil and diesel

To ensure efficient combustion and optimum fuel consumption, Danfoss recommends replacing the nozzle once a year as part of regular burner servicing.
