The original Danfoss OD S series oil nozzle is designed for high-pressure oil burners used in both residential and commercial heating systems. The nozzle ensures optimal atomisation of both light and heavy fuel oil and contributes to efficient and environmentally friendly combustion.

The nozzle operates on the principle of high-pressure injection – the oil is forced through the nozzle under pressure, where it is atomised at the outlet into fine droplets forming a homogeneous combustion mist. The bore in the nozzle disc has a special shape that precisely defines both the spray pattern and its angle. This ensures stable and even combustion throughout the entire operating range.

The S (Solid) type denotes a solid cone spray pattern – the oil droplets are evenly distributed across the entire area of the cone. This pattern is suitable for burners requiring a homogeneous flame without an empty centre.

Each Danfoss nozzle is 100% electronically tested for flow rate and spray quality. The nozzles are manufactured in accordance with European standards EN 293 and EN 299. To maintain optimum burner performance and minimise fuel consumption, it is recommended to replace the nozzle once a year.
