The QPM1100 series STANDARD duct sensor is used for measuring air quality in ducts and channels. The sensor monitors the VOC level in the flowing air in ventilation or air conditioning systems. The sensing is based on the principle of a heated zinc oxide semiconductor. The sensors can be used to regulate supply or exhaust air or as components of a building management system. The sensor is ideally suited for rooms where a large number of people gather, or where there may be increased emissions and undesirable concentrations of various odours. Therefore, the sensor is suitable for halls, auditoriums, trade fair and exhibition spaces, restaurants, dining rooms and canteens, gyms and fitness centres, conference rooms, shopping centres, and more.

This sensor is not intended as a warning safety signal for smoke or gas leaks. Additionally, the sensors are not designed for outdoor use.
