The ESBE VTN102 DN25 frost protection valve protects heat pumps and plate heat exchangers against frost damage. It automatically drains water when the temperature drops below 3 °C and closes at 4 °C. G 1" connection, PN 10.
The ESBE VTN102 safety valve is designed for air-to-water monobloc heat pumps, where it provides protection against freezing during a power failure in cold weather. It prevents freezing and the resulting damage to both the heat pump and the plate heat exchanger.
The valve body is made of brass, control is provided by a precise wax element, and the sealing ring is made of EPDM. The valve automatically drains water when the medium temperature falls below 3 °C and closes when 4 °C is reached, preventing the system from being completely emptied. It is installed vertically with a permissible deviation of ±45°, typically in the outdoor section of the heat pump system.
