The Flamco Airfix A pressure expansion vessel is designed for potable water installations (DHW heating, distribution pipework and pressure systems). Thanks to its flow-through principle, the vessel is continuously “flushed”, helping to reduce water stagnation in the system. When potable water is heated, its volume increases and, without an expansion vessel, this often causes the safety group/safety valve to open repeatedly. The Airfix A significantly reduces this behaviour – saving both water and energy while extending the service life of the fittings.

The Flamco Airfix Control connection set (28930) is required for installation of the Flamco Airfix A potable water expansion vessel.

Main features

• Flow-through design (partial flow) helps reduce the risk of stagnation.
• Reduces frequent dripping from the safety valve during DHW heating.
• Butyl diaphragm and surface finish suitable for potable water (without affecting taste or odour).
• Nitrogen pre-charge for better retention of the pre-charge pressure.
