Flamco WMS 800 is a low-water cut-off (level switch) for protecting the heat source. It monitors the level of heating water in the boiler and, if it drops below the minimum value, interrupts the boiler power supply, thereby preventing damage caused by dry running.
The WMS 800 is installed in heating systems as boiler protection against insufficient heating water, where the medium temperature does not exceed 120 °C. According to EN 12828, installation of a low-water cut-off is mandatory for heat sources above 300 kW or in cases where the heat source is located on the upper floors of a building. It is intended for heating installers and heating system designers.
The principle is simple: if the water level in the boiler drops below the minimum value, the switch interrupts the power supply to the boiler system and thus stops its operation. The device is equipped with a test button that allows the low-water condition to be simulated at any time, making it possible to verify correct operation of the cut-off without having to drain the system.
