Download PDFThe carbon dioxide detection sensor is used to detect and provide early warning of dangerous (toxic) concentrations. The E2608-CO2-DM sensors are designed to detect hazardous concentrations of carbon dioxide in air handling ducts in garages, boiler rooms, kitchens and other extraction systems. The DM version allows the sensor to be installed directly into the HVAC ductwork.
Carbon dioxide is heavier than air and therefore remains close to the ground. A wall-mounted detector should therefore be installed no more than half a metre above the floor. When used in HVAC ducting, the sensor is installed directly in the airflow.
The EVIKON E2608-CO-DM detector is equipped with two-stage signalling with outputs to switching relays. It does not have its own visual or audible alarm signalling. The E2608 series detectors are an intelligent solution for modern applications with ModBus RS485 communication and two analogue outputs 4-20 mA / 0-10 V.
Manufactured in a robust IP65 enclosure - ABS plastic, resistant to mechanical damage. Rigid, tough, resistant to both low and high temperatures, low absorbency, and safe for health. The sensor service life is more than 10 years.
Each sensor is factory calibrated to default values (described in the manual). The law stipulates that recalibration must be carried out at least once every 12 months. Calibration may only be performed by a person certified by the manufacturer.
The sensor is intended for the detection of carbon dioxide:
CO2
