Download PDFTwo-way diaphragm gas shut-off valve Armagas BAP DN 40 ST solo R. It is primarily designed as a safety shut-off for controlling the flow of gaseous media through piping (heating and other non-aggressive gases). Its most common use is in front of a boiler, as an emergency shut-off or as dual shut-offs for gas burners.
The Armagas BAP DN 40 valve is indirect (the diaphragm is not directly controlled by the coil, but by the pressure of the flowing gas), direct (it has two positions - open x closed) valve suitable for non-explosive environments. It is closed when not powered. According to EN 30, this valve cannot be used as an automatic shut-off valve for cooking appliances.
It can only be mounted horizontally and at least 15 cm from the ceiling. Ventilation above the valve is also recommended, as there is a possibility of gas leakage above the diaphragm during switching on/off. This state lasts a maximum of 1 second.
