The D22 series brass reducing valve protects the piping system and connected appliances from excessive mechanical stress. It prevents damage caused by excessive pressure stress. Despite fluctuations in the inlet pressure, the constancy of the outlet pressure is ensured thanks to its adjustability. It is primarily used in households, but within the range of technical parameters, it can also be installed in commercial and industrial buildings.

Features:

  • inlet pressure compensation - fluctuations in inlet pressure do not affect the outlet pressure
  • adjustable outlet pressure in the range of 1.5...6 bar with an adjustment screw
  • adjustment spring is not in contact with the medium
  • internal threads
  • compact design
  • lightweight
  • short installed length
  • certified according to 97/23/EC, CE0035 number

How the valve works

Spring-loaded reducing valves operate using a force balance system. The force of the diaphragm acts against the force of the spring, causing the valve to open or close. If there is a draw-off, the outlet pressure decreases, the diaphragm force drops, and the spring can open the valve. Without a draw-off, the outlet pressure increases, the diaphragm force rises, and the valve closes. The inlet pressure has no effect on the opening/closing of the valve.

We recommend installing a filter before the valve.
