The switch is primarily intended for decreasing pressure, so the setting of the switching value on the scale corresponds to the point at decreasing pressure. The reset point of the switch is then higher by the value of the difference between the two values. The area between the reset point and the switching value determines the differential tolerance within which the pressure can move freely without causing activation. The tolerance range is factory-set and cannot be adjusted.

The pressure passing through the switch via the connection (1) acts on the measuring bellows (2). When it changes, the bellows move, and their movement is transmitted through the pressure pin (4) to the connecting bridge (5). As the pressure rises, the bridge pushes on the switching element (7) and controls it. The spring (8) provides counterbalance. The switching element can be calibrated using the screw (11). The counter-pressure spring (12) is designed for stable switching even at a low set value.
