Honeywell DPTE500D is a three-port differential pressure sensor with a piezoresistive sensing element and a red LED display. It measures differential pressure, positive pressure and vacuum of air and non-aggressive gases – the 0–10 V or 4–20 mA output signal can be switched by jumper directly on site without any intervention in the control system configuration.
The DPTE500D is designed for measuring and monitoring differential pressure in air conditioning and ventilation systems, buildings with automated control, environmental protection applications, and air flow monitoring. Typical applications include monitoring air filter clogging, checking fan and blower performance, controlling dampers and valves, and liquid level monitoring. The sensor is suitable wherever reliable indication of pressure difference in the Pascal range is required.

The measuring range can be switched by jumper between 0–500 Pa (range 1, factory default setting) and 0–1 kPa (range 2), without the need to configure the control system. The analogue output is set in the same way: 0–10 V (default) or 4–20 mA. The response time can also be switched optionally – 1 s (default) or 100 ms for fast applications. In addition, a button on the device allows re-zeroing to be carried out at any time without disconnecting it from the system.
The sensor is mounted using self-tapping screws, and the M20×1.5 cable gland (polyamide) allows connection of a conductor with a cross-section of up to 1.5 mm². The pressure ports are connected via a 6 mm hose spigot; each package includes a DPSK kit (2 m silicone tubing + 2 spigots with screws). The IP54 rating with the cover fitted ensures protection against dust and splashing water. The 18–30 V AC/DC (50/60 Hz) power supply is compatible with standard building control wiring.

Factory settings (factory preset, switchable by jumper):
The output is switched by an internal jumper inside the device. The jumper is factory-fitted for 0–10 V output; removing it switches the sensor to 4–20 mA mode. The procedure is described in the wiring diagram in the technical data sheet. No service intervention or control system reconfiguration is required.
Disconnect the tubing from both pressure ports, then press and hold the button on the sensor for approximately 5 seconds. The sensor will be zeroed. Honeywell recommends carrying out this operation occasionally, especially during the first two years of operation, when slight sensor drift may occur.
No. The DPTE500D is intended exclusively for gaseous, non-aggressive media – typically air and technical gases. For measuring liquids or aggressive media, a different type of sensor must be selected. It is also not suitable for installations subject to periodic FDA inspection.
Each DPTE sensor is supplied with a DPSK kit (2 m of silicone tubing and two spigots with screws for connection to pipework or ducting). L-shaped mounting brackets with screws (DPSL) are available as optional accessories and must be ordered separately.
