The Honeywell LRNV51S42 float switch is designed for monitoring liquid levels in a vertical configuration. When the level changes, a magnet located in the float actuates a reed relay, which makes or breaks the control circuit. The switch provides a simple and cost-effective solution for automating filling, pumping, or overfill protection of tanks.

Both the body and the float are made of glass-filled polypropylene, ensuring high chemical resistance and low water absorption – particularly suitable for aggressive liquids such as acids, hydroxides, or hydrocarbons. The switch is mounted using an M16×2 thread either from inside the tank or from the outside using a compression gland. Typical applications include industrial tanks with coolants, chemical processes, water treatment plants, or fuel systems.
