Honeywell V5013R DN50 (V5013R1099) is a three-way control valve with female threaded connections for heating, cooling and air handling systems. It enables precise mixing of hot or chilled water in open circuits. The valve is designed for direct mounting of ML series electric or pneumatic actuators without the need for additional adapters.
The V5013R valve is intended for controlling water flow and temperature in heating, cooling and air handling systems – for example in heat exchangers, fan coil units, chilled ceilings or radiators in larger buildings. It is suitable for open circuits with hot or chilled water where precise outlet temperature control is required. Designers and technicians choose it where reliable shut-off and uniform flow characteristics across the full stroke are essential.

The valve body is made of brass with female threaded connections in accordance with ISO228. The seat is integrated directly into the body (for DN20–50), the plug is brass and the stem is stainless steel. The packing is a self-adjusting PTFE design reinforced with carbon fibres, so it does not require regular tightening. The flow characteristic on port A–AB is equal percentage, while on port B–AB it is linear – a combination well suited to temperature control by mixing.
The valve is designed for direct mounting of Honeywell ML6420, ML6425, ML7420, ML7425, ML6421 and ML7421 electric actuators or MP953 pneumatic actuators without intermediate fittings. The stroke is 20 mm, with the actuator providing control via a standard linear output. During installation, the stem must be in a horizontal or vertical position (but not below the horizontal axis), and the direction of medium flow must correspond to the arrow on the valve body. It is recommended to install a strainer upstream to protect the seat.
For DN50, the compatible Honeywell electric linear actuators are the ML6420/ML6425 and ML7420/ML7425 (600 N force, 260 kPa close-off pressure), or the more powerful ML6421/ML7421 (1800 N force, 850 kPa close-off pressure). If your application operates with a higher differential pressure, choose the 1800 N actuator. The MP953 pneumatic actuator is also compatible – the specific model depends on the control pressure range.
The valve operates with water at temperatures from 2 to 120 °C at a maximum pressure of 1600 kPa (16 bar). In the 120–170 °C range, the maximum pressure is reduced to 1490 kPa. In alternating operation with hot and chilled water, the temperature difference must not exceed 60 K. Water quality must comply with VDI2035 recommendations.
The V5013R is a three-way mixing valve. Port AB is the common outlet (mixed medium), port A is the inlet for the primary circuit (e.g. hot), and port B is the inlet for the secondary circuit (e.g. return or cold). As the plug moves downwards, the A–AB port closes; the B–AB port has a linear flow characteristic, while the A–AB port is equal percentage. Flow direction must always match the arrow on the valve body.
Yes. For DN50 (as well as DN40), a packing repair kit is available under order number R43176754002 – this applies to the newer yellow brass (DR) version. The older red brass (RG5) version uses the same number for DN40–50. Replacing the packing does not require removal of the entire valve from the pipeline.
