Honeywell V5833C1009 is a three-way control valve with an integrated bypass for modulating or two-position control of heating or chilled water flow. The DN15 valve with a Kvs flow coefficient of 0.4 (port A–AB) is designed for fan coil units and small heaters or coolers in electronic temperature control systems.

Where the valve is used

The V5833C is designed for installation in heating and chilled water systems in both commercial and residential buildings. Typical applications include fan coil units, small heat recovery units and coolers in air conditioning and ventilation assemblies. The valve is installed in the return line and operates with Honeywell M6410, M7410 or MT8 series electric linear actuators or thermoelectric actuators.

Integrated bypass and easy hydraulic control

The V5833C version has a built-in bypass branch directly in the valve body, eliminating the need to install a separate bypass pipe. The distance between ports A/AB and bypass B is a standard 40 mm, making installation easier even where space is limited. The reduced Kvs value on the bypass branch (Kvs 0.25 for port B–AB) simplifies hydraulic balancing of the entire circuit.

Frequently asked questions

The valve is designed to operate with Honeywell electric linear actuators – specifically the M6410C/L and M7410C/E series (180 N force) – or with MT8 thermoelectric actuators (90 N). The actuator connects to the M30×1.5 thread on the stem. A 6.5 mm stroke is used for modulating control, and 2.5 mm for two-position switching.

The valve body has flat-sealing connections in standard sizes. For DN15, sets are available with solder tailpieces (12 or 15 mm, order no. AC-15FS) or with threaded connections R3/8" / R1/2" (order no. AC-15FT). Each port requires a separate set, so the V5833C valve needs four sets in total. The recommended tightening torque is 25–30 Nm.

Yes. The valve is supplied with an adjustment cap, which allows manual setting of the stem position without an actuator connected. This function is used, for example, when filling the system or during the initial heating/cooling of the building before the final installation of the controls. The cap must be removed before fitting the actuator.

Water quality must comply with the requirements of the VDI 2035 standard. The valve is suitable for water and glycol mixtures up to a maximum concentration of 50%. If the pressure drop across the valve exceeds 60 kPa, flow noise may occur – this condition must be taken into account in the hydraulic design of the circuit.
