Honeywell V5833C DN15 Kvs 0.63 is a small three-way linear globe valve with an integrated bypass, designed for modulating or two-position control of hot or chilled water flow. It is used for temperature control in fan coil units, small heaters and air system coolers, where it is actuated by compact electric or thermoelectric actuators from the M6410, M7410, MT4 or MT8 series.
The V5833C is designed for electric temperature control systems in buildings – typically fan coil units in offices, hotels or hospitals, as well as small heaters and coolers in air handling systems. It is suitable wherever installation space is limited and where the bypass branch needs to be integrated directly into the valve body without additional pipework. Four connections on the valve body provide maximum flexibility in pipe routing – two connections on port B allow parallel connection of both flow and return.


The valve is available in two stroke versions: 6.5 mm for continuous modulating control and 2.5 mm for two-position switching (on/off). The modulating version has an equal percentage flow characteristic on the controlled A–AB port and a linear characteristic on the B–AB bypass branch, with the bypass Kvs one size lower – making hydraulic balancing of the circuit easier. Seat leakage is ≤ 0.02% of Kvs with a rangeability of 100:1.
The valve is supplied as standard with a screwed-on setting cap, which allows manual positioning of the stem without an actuator connected. This is useful during system filling or during the initial commissioning of the heating or cooling system while the building is under construction. Remove the cap only when fitting the actuator. The valve insert can be replaced without draining the system – using the WV108M service tool.

The valve is compatible with Honeywell compact linear actuators M6410C/L, M7410C (180 N), M7410A, MT4, MT8 (90 N) and MT8 (90 N), as well as thermoelectric actuators ML711CPA-N/ML711CPA (100 N) and ML712CPA-N/ML712CPA (200 N). The close-off pressure depends on the actuator selected – with the more powerful M6410/M7410C actuators, up to 800 kPa can be achieved.
The valve body has flat-sealing connections with G½" male threads. A separate connection set is required for each connection: for the V5833C, four sets are needed. Available options include sets for soldered connections (12 or 15 mm, order code AC-15FS) or threaded connections R3/8" (order code AC-15FT). The sets must be ordered separately.
Yes. When using the WV108M service tool, the valve insert can be replaced while the system remains in operation, without the need to drain the water. For the V5833C1017 (Kvs 0.63), the replacement insert is listed under order code 0902823. Inserts are interchangeable within groups: Kvs 0.25 / 0.40 / 0.63 / 1.00 are mutually compatible.
Both are three-way linear valves from the same product range; the difference lies in the number of connections and the way the bypass is arranged. The V5833A has three connections – the bypass pipework must be provided externally. The V5833C has four connections and the bypass branch integrated directly into the valve body (the distance between ports A/AB and the bypass is 40 mm), eliminating the need for external bypass pipework and making the installation more compact.
The manufacturer recommends installation on the return pipework. The valve must not be installed with the stem pointing downwards. If the differential pressure Δp exceeds 60 kPa, noise may occur in the system. The tightening torque for the connections is 25–30 Nm. Water quality must comply with VDI 2035.
