Honeywell XI50B40 is a three-way control valve with female thread DN50, PN16, Kvs 40. It is used to control the flow of hot or chilled water in mixing assemblies for heating, cooling and air handling systems. The valve is designed for operation with ML64.../ML74... series electric linear actuators.
The valve is used as a mixing or control element in heating and cooling circuits in buildings – typically in mixing assemblies for boilers, heat exchanger stations, fan coils or air handling units. The brass body with female thread is suitable for installation in pipework carrying hot water, chilled water and also in open circuits. Thanks to DN50 and Kvs 40, it is suitable for medium-sized to larger control sections.
The valve body is made of brass, the stem is stainless steel and the plug is also brass. The self-adjusting gland packing limits internal leakage to a low level and ensures a constant total flow rate throughout the entire plug stroke. The design allows precise position setting required for stable temperature control.
