Grundfos SCALA1 3-45 hydraulic section kit (99742572) is an original service kit containing all the key parts of the hydraulic block for the SCALA1 3-45 pump for 230 V / 50 Hz power supply. The kit enables complete replacement of worn or damaged hydraulic components without the need to purchase an entirely new pump.
This kit is intended for service technicians and qualified professionals carrying out refurbishment or repair of the Grundfos SCALA1 3-45 domestic pump. It is used when replacing the hydraulic section after mechanical damage, impeller wear, or faults caused by impurities in the water. Thanks to original Grundfos parts, full pump functionality is ensured after servicing.
Kit contents (Cat. No. 99742572):
Kit 99742572 is intended exclusively for the Grundfos SCALA1 3-45 model with 230 V / 50 Hz power supply. Do not use it for other sizes (3-25, 5-25, 3-35, 5-55) or for North American 115 V / 60 Hz versions – these have different catalogue numbers with a different number of hydraulic stages.
No. Kit 99742572 contains only hydraulic block parts (impellers, diffusers, bushes, lock nut and O-rings). The shaft seal must be ordered separately under No. 99742574, the expansion vessel diaphragm under No. 99743164, and the complete O-ring kit under No. 99742581.
Before starting disassembly, the power supply must be disconnected, the isolating valves on both sides of the pump must be closed, and the system must be depressurised. During assembly, it is recommended to lubricate the shaft seals with soapy water and the O-rings with ROCOL SAPPHIRE Aqua-Sil. The shaft lock nut should be tightened to 8 Nm, and the hydraulic cover screws also to 8 Nm. The procedure is described in detail in the SCALA1 SI service instructions.
Typical signs include a drop in pressure or flow rate despite the motor otherwise operating correctly, increased pump noise, or visible damage to the impellers after removing the cover. The exact diagnostic procedure is described in the “Fault finding” section of the SCALA1 SI service instructions (available via the QR code on the pump nameplate).
