Download PDFThe proportional bypass valve with continuous pressure adjustment IMI Hydrolux is ideal for use in heating and cooling systems with forced circulation to ensure proper balancing. It prevents excessive noise in the system, balances pressure differences, and prevents overflow. In systems with a gas hot water boiler, the Hydrolux valve can also be used to ensure minimum flow.
The valve allows for precise pressure differential adjustment, which the valve will maintain during system balancing. All pressure fluctuations caused by changes in system flow will thus be eliminated. When the flow decreases, the pressure differential increases, prompting the valve to open the system. This keeps the pressure differential relatively stable.
A. Heating system without mixing. The Hydrolux valve is installed between the suction and discharge ports of the circulation pump.
B. Heating system with a three-way mixing valve. The Hydrolux valve is installed between the supply and return pipes.
C. Heating system with a four-way valve. The Hydrolux valve is installed between the supply and return pipes.
