The BOLA MSVO-18 manual solenoid valve opener is a magnetic tool that allows you to open an electromagnetic (solenoid) valve even without an electrical power supply. It is fitted onto the valve in place of the coil and opens it by means of a magnetic field. It is useful during a power cut, when checking the function of the coil, or whenever you need to force the valve open independently of the applied voltage.
The opener can be used wherever you need to open a solenoid valve without electrical power or independently of it. It is typically helpful during a power cut, when you need to open the valve manually, or during servicing and fault-finding – for example when checking whether the valve coil is working. It also allows you to force the valve into the open position regardless of whether voltage is being supplied to the coil.

Yes. If the coil is fitted to the valve, first make sure it is not energised, then remove it. Only then should you fit the opener to the valve.
The valve will remain open for as long as the opener is fitted. As soon as you remove it, the valve will return to its normal state. The opener therefore serves as a temporary aid, not as a permanent replacement for the coil.
For valves that are closed when de-energised (NC type), the magnet opens the valve. For NO valves, i.e. valves that are open when de-energised, the principle is the opposite – fitting the opener will close them instead. Always refer to the type of the specific valve.
