Danfoss MBS 9200 (064G5215) is a compact pressure sensor with transmitter for measuring low gauge pressures in the 0–250 mbar range. The 4–20 mA output signal complies with the standard suitable for direct connection to controllers, PLCs and control systems. The sensor is digitally temperature-compensated and made of AISI 316L stainless steel.
The MBS 9200 is designed for general industrial applications involving low-pressure measurement in the millibar range. Typical applications include liquid level measurement in tanks and reservoirs (including fire water tanks), filter monitoring, pressure measurement in air conditioning and ventilation systems, and monitoring of low-pressure distribution systems. Thanks to its vibration resistance and high EMC/EMI protection, the sensor is also suitable for more demanding industrial environments.

The sensor is equipped with an angular Pg9 connector in accordance with EN 175301-803-A (so-called DIN connector). The wiring is two-wire: supply on pin 1 (+), common conductor on pin 2. Supply 9–32 V DC, 4–20 mA output loop.
Yes, the MBS 9200 is certified for use in Zone 2 environments in accordance with ATEX (explosive atmosphere with a low probability of occurrence). It is not intended for Zone 0 or 1. Before installation in a potentially explosive atmosphere, verify the specific valid ATEX certificate for the given variant.
When the sensor is rotated by 180° from the reference position, a zero-point error of max. ±0.20% FS occurs. When measuring very low pressures (tens of millibars), this error may represent a significant part of the range – we recommend observing the mounting position stated in the documentation or carrying out zeroing after installation (if the controller allows it).
Danfoss recommends a tightening torque of 25 Nm for the G1/4" thread in accordance with DIN 3852-E. Overtightening the thread may damage the sensor or cause leakage; insufficient tightening, on the other hand, may result in pressurised medium leakage.
