Electronic Room Temperature Controller RCC 20 for 2-pipe fan-coil units with electric reheating. The controller is equipped with a rotary knob for setting the desired temperature, a switch, and status LED indicators.

Application

• Regulation of room temperature in spaces heated or cooled by two-pipe fan-coil units.
• Two-position valve control and operation of a 3-speed fan.
• Switching on/off electric heating.

The controller is suitable for use in systems with automatic sequence switching between heating/cooling and in systems with continuous operation in heating or cooling sequences.

Functions

Using the built-in temperature sensor or via an additional temperature sensor (QAH 11.1), the controller obtains information about the current temperature and ensures temperature regulation to the desired value. Regulation is carried out by 2-position control of the actuator of the control valve (open/closed).

Operating Modes

Fan Operation - controlled by output Q1, Q2, or Q3 according to the selected speed. If overheating occurs due to electric heating, the fan continues to run for 30 seconds after the heating is turned off (the fan LED blinks).

Heating/Cooling Operation - opening or closing of the heating or cooling valve if the set value decreases or increases.

Exhaust Temperature - the RCC 20 controller can regulate either according to the measured room temperature or according to the exhaust temperature of the fan-coil. Switching occurs upon connection of the QAH 11.1 cable temperature sensor.

Automatic Switching - external sensor QAH 11.1 + ARG 86.3 (changeover) measures the water temperature and automatically selects the heating or cooling mode based on the measured value.

Normal Operation - heating or cooling sequence with automatic switching and manually set fan speeds III, II, or I. In this mode, the controller responds to the set desired temperature value.

Frost Protection Mode - if the temperature drops below 8 °C, the controller opens the heating valve and the fan runs at the set speed.

Economy Mode - the heating value in economy mode is 16 °C and the cooling value is 28 °C.
