Actuator Function

In the event of a power interruption, the valve rotates to its default position using the energy stored in the capacitors. The principle of the emergency function is therefore different from traditional spring-operated actuators.

• The actuator can be operated manually using a locking button.
• The rotation direction switch changes the actuator's operating direction during normal operation when activated.
• The "emergency position" switch allows setting the desired emergency position.

Capacitor Charging

The actuator requires a certain amount of time to charge to operational capacity. The charging time of the actuator depends on the duration of the power disconnection. However, the charging time does not exceed 20 seconds, which corresponds to a power outage lasting more than 10 days.

The actuator is delivered from the factory completely discharged. For initial commissioning, it requires approximately 20 seconds of charging for the capacitors to reach the required voltage level.
