Siemens Connected Home is a home automation system designed to make life easier while contributing to a more sustainable future. The ecosystem includes smart radiator heating, which combines comfort and energy savings. The cost-effective Siemens Connected Home set includes everything you need for zonal radiator control. It minimizes acquisition costs and significantly simplifies the purchase of smart heating control. Once the set arrives, you can immediately start with smart heating. Installation and setup are easy to do yourself thanks to a simple video guide. The set includes a ZigBee router and 4 smart radiator heads. All components are wirelessly connected via ZigBee communication (installation does not require structural modifications) and can be controlled from anywhere and anytime via an app on a smartphone or tablet. The Siemens Connected Home smart heating system is developed for heating residential and commercial buildings. For larger applications where a stronger ZigBee range is required, you can use an additional switching unit or router as a signal repeater. The SSA911.02ZB radiator head has an integrated PI controller to maintain a constant radiator temperature, a temperature sensor, an open window detection function, frost protection, and a child safety lock. Each head package also includes 2 AA batteries, adapters for Danfoss RA, RAV, RAVL valves, and screws for attachment. If you need to connect the head to a radiator valve other than M30x1.5 or Danfoss RA/RAV/RAVL, use one of the adapters/reductions for radiator valves. Our article from the advice section can help you choose the right reduction for radiator valves: How to choose the right reduction for radiator heads? This set includes: - 1x GTW100ZB ZigBee router - 4x SSA911.02ZB Thermoelectric actuator How to set up and install your Connected Home system? Watch the following videos and you'll know exactly how to proceed. You can easily download the Connected Home app from Google Play or the App Store. ZigBee router GTW100ZB The router creates a ZigBee network in the home connecting the family of Connected Home products. It is also connected to the internet (via Ethernet or wirelessly) and serves as an intermediary between heating devices and the control mobile app. It is powered by a cable. Thermoelectric actuator SSA911.02ZB The actuator is designed for heating regulation and radiator valve control. It controls the flow of heating water through the radiator. It features a thermal sensor and an integrated PI controller. It is battery-powered (battery life approx. 2 years). It communicates wirelessly thanks to ZigBee communication, but can also be set manually. It is equipped with an automatic adaptation function that ensures optimal stroke and force needed to control the valve. What are the advantages of the wireless Connected Home system? The new wireless ecosystem from Siemens for smart heating offers very easy implementation into existing home heating systems. No structural interventions or modifications are needed for installation. All system elements communicate via wireless ZigBee communication. The ZigBee router connected to the internet then allows communication with the mobile app on a smartphone. Heating in your home can thus be controlled from anywhere and anytime. The ecosystem saves operating and energy costs. It is capable of working with different electricity tariffs and efficiently planning water heating. It can regulate multiple individual zones in one household at once. For each room, it can create a temperature program tailored to its occupants or based on its usage schedule. In total, up to 100 different Connected Home system devices can be connected to the ZigBee router, including up to 32 actuators. Many expanding Connected Home devices are planned for the future, including thermostats, smart sockets, underfloor regulators, flood sensors, motion sensors, and more.
