Siemens Connected Home RDZ200ZB is a wireless room thermostat from the Siemens Connected Home system, designed for temperature control in both heating and cooling systems. It communicates with the Connected Home hub via the Zigbee network and is operated exclusively through a mobile app. Power is supplied by two AA batteries, so the thermostat does not require a mains power supply at the installation point.
The RDZ200ZB is intended for flats and family homes where both heating and cooling need to be controlled within a single space. Typical applications include underfloor heating with summer cooling capability, ceiling heating and cooling, or direct control of a heat pump. Switching between heating and cooling modes is carried out in the mobile app, with no need for any physical intervention on the thermostat itself. The thermostat can be wall-mounted at a height of 1.5 m above floor level.

All settings – weekly schedule, temperature limits, heating/cooling mode switching, or manual override – are configured in the Siemens Connected Home app (for both iOS and Android). The thermostat displays the current room temperature on its screen and allows manual adjustment of the setpoint until the next scheduled change. Commissioning, Zigbee network pairing and adjustment of control parameters are also handled exclusively via the app.
Technical parameters:
The Siemens Connected Home app allows you to set a weekly heating and cooling schedule, remotely monitor room temperature, switch between heating and cooling modes, and adjust control parameters. Pairing the thermostat with the Zigbee network and commissioning are also carried out via this app.
The RDZ100ZB controls heating only (On/Off or TPI control). The RDZ200ZB additionally supports cooling – it has a separate On/Off output for cooling equipment and allows heating/cooling mode switching via the mobile app. Both models have a built-in relay and the same dimensions (88 × 88 mm).
The RDZ200ZB thermostat requires a Siemens Connected Home hub (GTW100ZB) for Zigbee communication and the Connected Home mobile app for setup. The thermostat itself is supplied with a mounting plate, cover panel and two AA batteries. The wireless output module RCR110.2ZB is not included and must be ordered separately – for the RDZ200ZB with built-in relay, you will generally not need it.
Thermoelectric actuators for radiator or zone valves (AC 24–230 V), electromechanical actuators, damper actuators and circulation pumps can be connected to the thermostat output. The thermostat can also be connected to the SCH-MZ6 or SCH-MZ10 multi-zone underfloor heating controller, or directly to a heat pump. The maximum switching current of the built-in relay is 5 A (resistive load) – for devices with higher current draw, an auxiliary relay or contactor must be used.
The thermostat is maintenance-free – the only regular task is replacing the two AA batteries approximately once a year. Both the thermostat display and notifications in the mobile app provide warning when the batteries are running low. The thermostat does not require calibration or any specific cleaning procedure.
