The actuator is designed for air handling sections that need to be closed in the event of a power failure. 

Emergency function - in the event of a power failure or disconnection of the operating voltage, the damper will return to the mechanically zero position using the actuator's spring.

By mounting two identical types of actuators on the same damper shaft, double the torque can be achieved.
