The Siemens VVP47.15-2.5 two-port control valve from the Acvatix™ range is designed to control the flow of the medium in closed water circuits of ventilation, air-conditioning and heating systems. Typical applications include fan coil units, induction units, small heaters and coolers, two-pipe and four-pipe systems, and heating zone control in buildings. The valve body is made of CC491K bronze (Rg5, max. 4% Pb), with a stainless steel stem. The valve features a linear flow characteristic and manual operation. It can be combined with SFP.., SSF161.05HF electromotoric actuators or STP..65.. electrothermal actuators.

Installation instructions

The two-port valve should preferably be installed in the return line, where the gland packing will be exposed to lower temperatures. It is recommended to fit a strainer upstream of the valve to improve reliability. The flow direction must correspond to the arrow on the valve (A → AB). The installation position is unrestricted within ±90° from the vertical stem axis. The valve and actuator can be assembled on site without special tools. When using an SFP.. actuator, the AL50 support ring must be fitted before installation.

Maintenance and service

The valve is maintenance-free. The stem packing cannot be replaced – in the event of leakage, the entire valve must be replaced. Before carrying out any service work, switch off the pump, disconnect the power supply, close the shut-off valves, and fully depressurise and cool the system. The warranty is valid only when Siemens actuators specified in the documentation are used.
