GSH-CO2 is a pre-calibrated sensor module for the E2639-GSH detector and is used to measure carbon dioxide in the range of 0–10,000 ppm. It connects via an M12 connector and can be hot-swapped without opening the detector housing. The integrated calibration calendar monitors the date of the next calibration, while the calibration itself can be carried out separately from the installed E2639 main unit using the SSC configurator.
The GSH-CO2 sensor is designed for monitoring carbon dioxide in industrial, commercial and public environments such as breweries, wine cellars and fermentation facilities, server rooms with CO2 fire suppression systems, restaurants and bars with draught dispensing equipment, dry ice storage areas, and other spaces where this gas may accumulate.

Carbon dioxide is a colourless, odourless gas that occurs naturally in the atmosphere and is also a by-product of a wide range of industrial processes such as fermentation, combustion and beverage production. Because it is denser than air, CO2 accumulates near the ground and in low-lying areas, making it an insidious hazard – its presence cannot be detected by human senses. At higher concentrations, it causes dizziness, unconsciousness and, in extreme cases, death by asphyxiation.
The smart sensor offers a major advantage during calibration – the entire process can be carried out separately from the installed detector. While the E2639-GHS main unit remains in operation at the installation site, the GSH sensor module can be removed and calibrated independently – at the distributor’s premises, the integrator’s facility, or directly at the manufacturer Evikon MCI. This is done using the dedicated SSC configurator, through which the module is connected to a computer. Once calibrated, the GSH module simply needs to be plugged back in via the M12 connector – without opening the device housing, without complicated procedures, and without any downtime for the entire installation.

Each sensor package includes the manufacturer’s original calibration certificate in English, confirming the accuracy and correctness of the measurements at the time of manufacture.
