E2639-CO2-10K is a detector designed for monitoring high concentrations of carbon dioxide in the air. The device is equipped with a temperature-compensated sensor that ensures reliable detection and stable measurement, and is housed in a wall-mounted enclosure with IP65 protection. The E2639 features three SPDT relays with a maximum load of 250 VAC 5 A. Two relays are used for so-called two-stage detection. The third relay indicates a sensor fault. Communication with higher-level systems is provided by an RS485 Modbus RTU digital interface, complemented by two 4–20 mA analogue outputs. The version with a Wi-Fi module allows wireless connection of a smartphone or tablet for configuration and calibration via a web interface – with no need to install an app. In addition, the device includes four LEDs and an audible alarm, which immediately alert operators to an exceeded set limit directly at the installation site – without the need to monitor a remote control system.

Typical applications

The E2639-CO2 detector is intended for monitoring carbon dioxide in industrial, commercial and public environments such as breweries, wine cellars and fermentation facilities, server rooms with CO2 fire suppression systems, restaurants and bars with draught dispensing equipment, dry ice stores, and other areas where this gas may accumulate.

Carbon dioxide (CO₂)

Carbon dioxide is a colourless, odourless gas that occurs naturally in the atmosphere and is also a by-product of a wide range of industrial processes such as fermentation, combustion and beverage production. Because it is denser than air, CO2 accumulates near the floor and in low-lying areas, making it an insidious hazard – its presence cannot be detected by the senses. At higher concentrations, it causes dizziness, unconsciousness and, in extreme cases, death by asphyxiation.

Smart communication – ideal for fire alarm systems

The E2639 detector combines the benefits of an autonomous safety device and an intelligent communication node. It is designed for seamless integration with fire alarm systems (EPS) and offers a wide range of outputs for comprehensive control:

  • Autonomy: 3× volt-free SPDT relays for direct control of equipment or safe system shutdown.
  • Connectivity: Dual RS485 Modbus RTU interface for digital export of measured data in real time to a higher-level system (BMS).
  • Control: 2× 4–20 mA analogue outputs intended for precise control of the ventilation frequency inverter.

WiFi calibration from any smart device

Compared with the standard version, the E2639-WF has an integrated WiFi module that turns calibration and configuration into a matter of minutes – with no tools and no need to remove the cover. The access point is activated using a magnetic key, and the configuration interface opens in the browser of a phone or tablet, with no need to download any app. The interface is password-protected with separate access levels for end users and integrators, so everyone works only within their own part of the settings.
