E2639-N2O is a detector designed for monitoring high concentrations of nitrous oxide in the air. The device is equipped with a temperature-compensated sensor that ensures reliable detection and stable measurement, and it is housed in a wall-mounted enclosure with IP65 protection. The E2639 features three SPDT relays with a maximum load of 250 VAC 5 A. Two relays are used for so-called two-stage detection. The third relay indicates a sensor fault. Communication with higher-level systems is provided via the RS485 Modbus RTU digital interface, supplemented by two 4–20 mA analogue outputs. In addition, the device includes four LEDs and an audible alarm to immediately alert operators when the set limit is exceeded directly at the installation site – without the need to monitor a remote control system.
The E2639-N₂O detector is intended for monitoring nitrous oxide in environments such as healthcare facilities, dental surgeries, operating theatres, chemical laboratories, food processing plants, and other enclosed spaces where N₂O may accumulate. The device helps prevent health risks associated with exposure to this gas and contributes to ensuring the safety of both personnel and operations.

Nitrous oxide is a colourless gas with a faintly sweet odour, the presence of which in air cannot be reliably detected by the senses at normal concentrations. In enclosed spaces, it can accumulate to dangerous concentrations and, at higher levels, has a narcotic effect on the central nervous system. Exposure to higher concentrations of nitrous oxide may cause dizziness, nausea, disorientation, or loss of consciousness, and prolonged exposure may lead to damage to the nervous system, impaired blood formation due to inhibition of vitamin B₁₂, and adverse effects on reproductive health.
The E2639 detector combines the advantages of an autonomous safety device and an intelligent communication node. It is designed for seamless integration with fire alarm systems (FAS) and offers a wide range of outputs for comprehensive control:

The E2639 is equipped with three M20 cable glands and a dual terminal block for Modbus RTU. The duplicated Modbus RTU terminals help simplify and speed up bus wiring for connection to a higher-level system. No more inserting two conductors into one terminal. Thanks to the M20 cable glands, all required outputs can be connected conveniently.
Factory settings:
Each detector package includes the original manufacturer's calibration certificate in English, confirming the accuracy and correctness of measurement at the time of leaving the factory.
