Evikon E2639-HFC(R32) is a detector designed for monitoring high concentrations of R32 refrigerant (difluoromethane) in the air. The device is equipped with a temperature-compensated sensor that ensures reliable detection and stable measurement, and it is housed in a wall-mounted enclosure with IP65 protection. The E2639 features three SPDT relays with a maximum load of 250 VAC 5 A. Two relays are used for so-called two-stage detection. The third relay indicates a sensor fault. Communication with higher-level systems is provided by an RS485 Modbus RTU digital interface, complemented by two 4–20 mA analogue outputs. In addition, the device includes four LEDs and an audible alarm, which immediately alert operators to an exceeded threshold directly at the installation site – without the need to monitor a remote control system.

R32 (difluoromethane) is a single-component HFC refrigerant intended for use in air conditioning units and heat pumps. The E2639 is equipped with three M20 cable glands and a dual terminal block for Modbus RTU. The duplicated Modbus RTU terminals simplify and speed up bus wiring for connection to the higher-level system. No more inserting two conductors into a single terminal. Thanks to the M20 glands, all required outputs can be connected conveniently.
