GSH-H2 is a pre-calibrated sensor module for the E2639-GSH detector and is used to measure hydrogen in the range of 0–100% LEL. It connects via an M12 connector and can be replaced while live without opening the detector housing. An integrated calibration calendar monitors the date of the next calibration, while the calibration itself can be carried out separately from the installed E2639 main unit using the SSC configurator.
The GSH-LEL(H2) sensor is designed for hydrogen monitoring in industrial and commercial environments such as battery charging rooms, server rooms, gas storage facilities, H2 filling stations, and other areas where flammable gases are handled. The device is used for the early detection of hazardous hydrogen concentrations, helping to ensure equipment safety and minimise the risk of fire or explosion.


Hydrogen is the lightest and most abundant element in the universe, characterised by high energy density and clean combustion. When used as a fuel, it produces only water, making it an environmentally friendly alternative to fossil fuels. Hydrogen is often used in fuel cells, which generate electricity to power vehicles or supply various devices.
The smart sensor offers a major advantage during calibration – the entire process can be carried out separately from the installed detector. While the E2639 main unit remains in operation at the installation site, the GSH sensor module can be removed and calibrated independently – at the distributor’s premises, the integrator’s premises, or directly at the manufacturer Evikon MCI. A dedicated SSC configurator is used for this purpose, through which the module is connected to a computer. Once calibrated, the GSH module simply needs to be plugged back in via the M12 connector – without opening the device housing, without complicated procedures, and without downtime for the entire installation.

Each detector package includes the manufacturer’s original calibration certificate in English, confirming the accuracy and correctness of the measurements at the time of leaving the factory.
