Typical applications

The GSH-CH4 sensor is intended for monitoring methane in environments such as boiler rooms, garages, tunnels, industrial halls and other enclosed spaces where CO may accumulate. The device helps prevent health risks associated with exposure to this gas and contributes to the safety of both personnel and operations. The module is designed exclusively for use with the E2639-GSH detector.

Methane (CH4)

Methane is a colourless, odourless and highly flammable gas that is naturally released during the extraction and distribution of natural gas, in agriculture, the food industry and a wide range of industrial processes. Its danger lies in the fact that it cannot be detected by human senses – which is why continuous electronic detection is a key safety element wherever leaks may occur.

Easy installation

The smart sensor offers a major advantage during calibration – the entire process can be carried out separately from the installed detector. While the E2639 main unit remains in operation at the installation site, the GSH sensor module can be removed and calibrated independently – at the distributor’s, integrator’s or directly at the manufacturer Evikon MCI. This is done using the dedicated SSC configurator, through which the module is connected to a computer. Once calibrated, the GSH module simply slides back in via the M12 connector – without opening the device housing, without complicated procedures and without shutting down the entire installation.

Calibration certificate

Each sensor package includes the manufacturer’s original calibration certificate in English, confirming the accuracy and correctness of measurement at the time it leaves the factory.
