Honeywell 2159400 spring for filter screen is a spare part designed for F76S and HS10S series backwash water filters in sizes 1½"–2". It ensures the correct seating and retention of the filter screen inside the filter bowl.
The spring should normally be checked during every filter service – when cleaning or replacing the screen. If the spring is corroded, deformed or missing, the screen will not remain in the correct position inside the bowl and the filter will not operate reliably. This spare part is suitable for self-service without the need to replace the entire filter body. Intended for F76S and HS10S filters with nominal sizes of 1½" and 2".
The 2159400 spring is intended exclusively for Honeywell F76S and HS10S filters in sizes 1½" and 2". For smaller sizes (½"–1¼"), a different part is used – the 2074900 spring.
Replacement is necessary in the event of visible corrosion, permanent deformation or loss of elasticity. We recommend checking the spring whenever the screen is cleaned or replaced. A damaged spring causes the screen to sit unstably and reduces filtration efficiency.
Yes. F76S and HS10S filters are designed for easy maintenance – the bowl is unscrewed using a spanner (for sizes 1½" and 2", Honeywell recommends the ZR10K-112 service spanner), the screen is removed, cleaned or replaced, the spring and O-ring are checked, and everything is reassembled. Before servicing, the water supply must be shut off and the filter depressurised.
