The thermostatic filling valve VTC500 is used for filling storage tanks and especially for protecting the boiler from low-temperature corrosion up to a capacity of 150 kW. Maintaining a constant higher return temperature means higher boiler efficiency, minimization of tar formation, and maximum extension of the boiler's lifespan. It is advisable to install the thermostatic filling valve on the return line to the boiler, or for filling storage tanks.

Application

• Heating

The glycol content in the medium is max. 50%. When using a glycol concentration in the range of 30-50%, the flow rate decreases by approx. 30-40% and there is also a change in thermal conductivity.

Valve Function

The thermostatic valve can be used as a diverting or mixing valve. The valve contains a thermostatic cartridge that opens inlet A when the temperature of the mixed outlet water at outlet AB reaches a specified °C. If the temperature at inlet A exceeds the nominal opening temperature by 10 °C, inlet B completely closes. It is recommended to use ball shut-off valves in the application to facilitate any potential servicing.

Service and Maintenance

The thermostatic filling valve VTC 500 does not require any special maintenance under normal operating conditions. Spare parts are available for all main parts of the valve. Parts can be replaced without the need to remove the valve from the application. The thermostatic cartridge can be easily replaced with a cartridge with a different opening temperature.
