The ball valve is operated by a rotary actuator. Rotary actuators are commonly controlled by standard regulation systems either continuously or in a 3-point manner, moving the ball of the ball valve, which acts as a control element, to the position specified by the control signal. The valve opens counterclockwise and closes clockwise.
