The E2618-VOC volatile organic compounds sensor is part of the PluraSens® product range, which includes multi-purpose instruments for gas detection in building and industrial environments. The device is designed to monitor the concentration of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in air where they may accumulate as a result of technological processes, the use of solvents, or insufficient ventilation. Typical applications include chemical stores, paint shops, spray booths, production facilities, and other technical areas where continuous VOC level monitoring is required for both personal health protection and operational safety. The unit is equipped with both an analogue output (optionally 4–20 mA or 0–10 V) and an RS-485 digital interface using the standard Modbus RTU communication protocol. These outputs enable straightforward integration into measurement and control systems, building management systems (BMS), or safety systems. The instrument is intended for fixed installation and is designed to meet the requirements of technical and industrial premises in terms of ingress protection, reliability, and ease of maintenance.
The device is housed in a wall-mounted enclosure with IP65 protection, ensuring resistance to dust and water. The sensor has no visual or audible alarm and is intended for sensing and transmitting measured data to a control panel or higher-level system.
The E2618-VOC sensor is intended for monitoring volatile organic compounds in environments such as paint shops, solvent stores, production halls, chemical plants, and other enclosed areas where organic vapours may accumulate. The instrument helps prevent health risks associated with VOC exposure and also contributes to early detection of potentially hazardous concentrations from a fire safety perspective.
Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are organic compounds that readily evaporate at normal operating temperatures. They include, for example, acetone, ethanol, toluene, or xylene. These substances are commonly found in industrial processes, coatings, cleaning agents, or solvents. At higher concentrations they may be harmful to health, and some can form explosive mixtures with air. For this reason, monitoring is particularly important in enclosed or poorly ventilated areas.
Calibration certificateEach Evikon gas detector package includes a factory calibration certificate. The calibration certificate is in English. Gas concentration measurement is affected by operating temperature and humidity. Therefore, calibration at the detector factory is carried out with enhanced safety in mind.
