Download PDFThe Evikon E2630-LEL is a detector designed for monitoring propane (C3H8) concentration in the air. The device uses a semiconductor sensor that provides accurate measurements within the range of the lower explosive limit (LEL). With its robust construction and reliable performance, it is suitable for industrial and commercial applications where monitoring methane safety limits is required.
The device is housed in a wall-mounted enclosure with an IP65 protection rating, ensuring its resistance to dust and water. Additionally, it features a visual and acoustic alarm for timely warning in case of increased methane/natural gas concentration. The E2630-LEL is equipped with two SPDT relay outputs, allowing easy integration with ventilation and alarm systems.
The E2630-LEL detector is intended for monitoring propane in industrial and commercial environments such as boiler rooms, engine rooms, gas storage facilities, LPG filling stations, or other areas where flammable gases are handled. The device serves to promptly detect dangerous concentrations of propane/LPG, helping to ensure equipment safety and minimize the risk of fires or explosions.
Propane is a colourless, odourless gas often used as fuel for heating, cooking, or vehicle propulsion. Along with butane, it forms LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas), a liquefied petroleum gas stored under pressure. Due to its properties, such as a low boiling point, propane is suitable even in colder conditions where butane would not be as effective. LPG is often used as a more environmentally friendly alternative to traditional fossil fuels because it has lower emissions of harmful substances. Moreover, it is easily transportable and storable, making it a versatile and practical fuel.

Each package of Evikon gas detectors includes a factory calibration protocol. The calibration protocol is in English. Gas concentration measurements are influenced by operating temperature and humidity, so calibration during detector manufacturing is performed with higher safety in mind.
