Download PDFEvikon E2630-LEL is a detector designed to monitor the concentration of propane (C3H8) in air. The device uses a semiconductor sensor that provides accurate measurements within the lower explosive limit (LEL) range. Thanks to its robust construction and reliable performance, it is suitable for industrial and commercial applications where methane safety limits need to be monitored.
The device is housed in a wall-mounted enclosure with IP65 protection, ensuring resistance to dust and water. In addition, it features a visual and audible alarm for early warning when methane / natural gas concentration increases. The E2630-LEL is equipped with two SPDT relay outputs, allowing easy integration with ventilation and alarm systems.
The E2630-LEL detector is intended for monitoring propane in industrial and commercial environments such as boiler rooms, plant rooms, gas storage facilities, LPG filling stations, or other areas where flammable gases are handled. The device is used for the early detection of hazardous propane/LPG concentrations, helping to ensure equipment safety and minimise the risk of fire or explosion.
Propane is a colourless, odourless gas that is often used as a fuel for heating, cooking, or powering vehicles. Together with butane, it forms LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas), which is a liquefied petroleum gas stored under pressure. Thanks to its properties, such as a low boiling point, propane is also suitable for colder conditions where butane would not be as effective. LPG is often used as a more environmentally friendly alternative to traditional fossil fuels because it produces lower pollutant emissions. In addition, it is easy to transport and store, making it a versatile and practical fuel.

Every Evikon gas detector package includes a factory calibration certificate. The calibration certificate is in English. Gas concentration measurement is affected by operating temperature and humidity, therefore calibration during detector production is carried out with enhanced safety in mind.
