E2639-NO2 is a detector designed for monitoring high concentrations of nitrogen dioxide in the air. The device is equipped with a temperature-compensated sensor that ensures reliable detection and stable measurement, and it is housed in a wall-mounted enclosure with IP65 protection. The E2639 features three SPDT relays with a maximum load of 250VAC 5A. Two relays are used for so-called two-stage detection. The third relay indicates a sensor fault. Communication with higher-level systems is provided by the RS485 Modbus RTU digital interface, complemented by two 4–20 mA analogue outputs. The version with a Wi-Fi module enables wireless connection of a smartphone or tablet for configuration and calibration via a web interface – with no app installation required. In addition, the device includes four LEDs and an audible alarm to immediately alert operators when the set limit is exceeded directly at the installation site – without the need to monitor a remote control system.
The E2639-NO2 detector is intended for monitoring nitrogen dioxide in environments such as industrial facilities, chemical and analytical laboratories, exhaust and combustion stations, welding workplaces, printing works, and other enclosed spaces where NO2 may accumulate. The device helps prevent health risks associated with exposure to this highly toxic gas and contributes to ensuring the safety of both personnel and operations.

Nitrogen dioxide is a reddish-brown toxic gas with a characteristic pungent odour. Its presence in the air can be recognised by smell at higher concentrations, but reliable detection is not possible without a measuring instrument. In enclosed spaces, it can accumulate to dangerous concentrations, and due to its high reactivity it aggressively attacks the respiratory tract even at relatively low levels. Exposure to higher concentrations of nitrogen dioxide may cause irritation of the mucous membranes, coughing, shortness of breath or headaches, and prolonged exposure may result in serious lung damage, chemical pneumonitis, and adverse effects on the cardiovascular system.
The E2639 detector combines the advantages of an autonomous safety device and an intelligent communication node. It is designed for seamless cooperation with fire alarm systems (EPS) and offers a wide range of outputs for comprehensive control:


Compared to the standard version, the E2639-WF has an integrated WiFi module that turns calibration and configuration into a matter of minutes – without tools and without removing the cover. The access point is activated using a magnetic key, and the configuration interface opens in the browser of a phone or tablet, with no need to download any application. The interface is password-protected with separate access levels for end users and integrators, so everyone works only within their own part of the settings.
