The pressure-independent control valve Honeywell VPE20M25BH from the VPE (PICV) series combines three functions in a single compact body: a differential pressure control valve (DPCV), a flow presetting mechanism, and a two-way linear control valve. The result is a hydraulically self-balancing valve assembly without the need for separate balancing valves, maintaining a constant flow rate regardless of fluctuations in differential pressure within the system (35–600 kPa). The valve is designed for heating and cooling systems with variable flow and inverter-controlled pumps.

  • 3 in 1 – one valve instead of three: a differential pressure control valve, flow presetting, and control valve are integrated into a single body, reducing material, installation, and plant room space costs.
  • Pressure-independent control (PICV): the flow rate remains constant with any change in differential pressure within the range of 35–600 kPa – no hydraulic balancing of the system is required.
  • Adjustable maximum flow rate (presetting): continuously adjustable within the range of 276–1,850 l/h (positions 1–9) using an easily accessible adjustment mechanism; once set, the valve uses a linear characteristic to modulate the flow rate within the adjusted range.
  • Resistance to contaminated water: a design-optimised differential pressure controller with minimal friction of moving parts – verified by an internal test with ferric oxide Fe₂O₃ at a concentration of 900 ppm and 100,000 cycles.
  • Easy maintenance: the internal element (control valve + DPCV) can be removed, cleaned, and reinstalled without removing the valve body from the pipework.
  • Linear flow characteristic: the plug of the conical globe valve is machined to achieve linear control characteristics; in combination with a heat exchanger, this creates a linear control loop.
  • EPD certificate (third party): Environmental Product Declaration in accordance with ISO 14025 and EN 15804+A2 – a transparent declaration of the product’s environmental footprint.
